Welcome to the UNL Modern Languages Lab. Let's proceed with some remarks about language learning in general and work in the lab in particular. In order to acquire the basics of a foreign language effectively, contact with the language is essential. The lab will give you additional exposure to the language. The work you do in the lab is of an individual, independent nature. Your instructors may check your lab work. Your work in the lab will enhance your performance in class, on assignments, and tests. It will help you with comprehension, pronunciation, memorizing vocabulary and expressions, and understanding grammatical aspects of the foreign language. A great deal of subconscious learning takes place in the lab. The more you hear and work with the language, the easier it becomes.
