POLICY STATEMENT
Students who need to have their attendance recorded must bring a valid UNL ID card, must present the card at the desk to check in, and, within a maximum of 50 minutes, must present the ID card again to check out.
- Students present their UNL ID cards, which are passed through the scanner.
The ID cards should be in good working order, so that the scanner can read them properly. If ID cards are damaged so that they do not work properly, we will direct the students to enter their UNL ID number on the keyboard when they check in and out. - Students may work in the Lab for a maximum of 50 minutes at a time. At the end of the 50-minute limit, students must check out and leave the equipment free for the next person. If there is no waiting line, students may check in for a second 50-minute period.
Please note: In order for an attendance to count, students must check in when they come, and check out when they leave. - Any time above 50 minutes per session will be rounded off to 50 minutes. Anyone who fails to check out within two hours will have her/his attendance record cancelled for that session.
- Students who do not need to have their attendance recorded do not present an ID card, but they must still wait their turn if there is a waiting line. Instructors will receive a weekly e-mail report of their students' lab attendance.
